    The Kardashians have been feeling the burn from the wildfires that continue to blaze in California. As the flames crawled through Northern and Southern California, members of the Kardashian family were forced to evacuate their homes. Despite the chaos, the Kardashians have been doing their part to aid in the relief. Kim Kardashian-West had to evacuate her home after a wildfire reportedly began in her Hidden Hills neighborhood.     Exhibition talk by QC alumni, Ava Katz on “From Here to the Desert”

    Art and modern culture continues to have a strong presence in Queens College’s community through the Godwin-Ternbach Museum. The museum brings a variety of thought provoking exhibits to the campus. The exhibit entitled, “From the Desert to the City: The Journey of Late Ancient Textiles”, is on display until Dec. 13th and places textiles from Late Antique Egypt in multiple contexts. One of the contexts of the textiles is their original use in the 3rd-7th centuries.   Another context of the textiles is the rediscovery of them in the early 20th century.     Hillel Club Spotlight

    The Hillel Club at Queens College is today regarded as one of the pillars of student life on campus. Founded at QC in 1947, Hillel has been a community center for Jewish and non-Jewish students alike to come and unwind with friends, engage in activities sponsored by the club and, more importantly, to engage in Jewish learning. Interim Executive Director Jenna Citron has been involved with Hillel since she was a student at Florida State University.
