Sidd Malviya, Editor-in-Chief

Sidd Malviya is a senior double majoring in biology and psychology. He has been on the staff of the paper since Fall 2018. Sidd is a recipient of the Burton L. Backner Student Affairs award, given to the student dedicating the highest level of service to the QC community. In the past year, he has been the Student Association Vice President & was recently re-elected for another term as Deputy Chair in the QC Academic Senate. Sidd’s field of reporting is primarily ‘hard-hitting news’ and hopes to use his term as Editor-in-Chief to keep the student body, faculty, and staff informed about truths that may otherwise be hidden, in an effort to inspire change.

  1. Hello Sidd Malviya
I graduated from Queens College in 1957, wrote for the Ramparts (then the school paper) played on the tennis team winning sixteen of my seventeen singles matches. I also was a regular midfielder on the 1956 soccer team, pitched on the baseball team, and captained the intramural basketball champions. I attended NYU Medical School and practiced internal medicine in the San Francisco Bay Area where I live. If you have any interest, I’d like to write about my experiences as a student athlete at QC where the coaching at the time was quite poor. I think events of those days might be humorous and interesting to present day students and athletes.
    Thanks for your consideration.
