    Captain Marvel soars

Just as the sun shall rise in the morning and the snow shall fall in winter, there will always be another Marvel film to entertain us and ever since the visceral gut punch that was Avengers: Infinity War, fans have been clamoring for another dose of MCU goodness. Captain Marvel is another addition to Marvel’s ever-growing roster of colorful, crowd-pleasing blockbusters that we seem to get a double dose of every calendar year. The man behind the masks: Stan Lee

On Nov. 12, 2018, Stan Lee, the face of Marvel Comics and the creator of several beloved comic book characters like Spider-Man and Iron Man, passed away at the age of 95.   Known for his famous comic book superheroes and movies, Stan Lee touched the lives of so many people, both children and adults. That is, until the character popped up in a key role…

Marvel finds itself another success in Thor: Ragnarok

“Thor: Ragnarok” had a lot riding on its success—the film had to continue Marvel’s hot streak of hit films and setup for “Avengers: Infinity War.” Well, I am pleased to admit that Thor… RagnaROCKED. My awful joke aside, this was an amazing film to send up to the broad and colorful world of the “Thor” comics. From the inspired set designs, character animations, to the intense soundtrack—which much like “Guardians of the Galaxy,” had a distinctly 1980’s feel—and the parade of scene-stealing one liners, this movie never fails to deliver. Chris Hemsworth is back as the thickheaded, noble and charming god of thunder, Thor, who is on a mission to…
