This summer, The FIFA World Cup will return to the This summer, The FIFA World Cup will return to the United States for the first time since 1994, bringing the world’s biggest soccer tournament back to American soil.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will run from June 11th to July 19th across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. It will mark the first time three countries have co-hosted the men’s tournament, and it will also introduce the largest format in World Cup history, with 48 teams playing 104 matches across 16 host cities.

For the U.S., the tournament represents the country’s biggest soccer moment in more than three decades. The last time the U.S. hosted the men’s World Cup was in 1994, when the tournament helped push soccer further into mainstream American sports.

One of the most creative comes from LEGO, which is reimagining football through buildable, collectible experiences that bring the game into a more personal and interactive space.

LEGO’s approach transforms the 2026 FIFA World Cup into something interactive rather than purely observational. Instead of focusing on large stadium builds, the collaboration centers on collectible pieces tied directly to the tournament and its biggest stars.

Satoria began playing at six years old after moving to Ostrava. Coincidentally, he lived next to a baseball field where his father took him to practice frequently. He played for his local baseball team, Arrows Ostrava. Satoria fondly remembers rooting for guys like Manny Ramirez and later Josh Hamilton in the MLB.

One thing is certain after my experience there: anyone who goes will be met with a welcoming ambiance and delicious food.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly hostess and given a menu of various Mexican dishes and drinks. Having been to a few restaurants in Mexico myself, I wondered how this restaurant would compare. Seeing multiple tempting options ranging from fajitas and quesadillas to tacos, burritos, enchiladas and even soups intensified that curiosity.

At the recent opening reception for the language o At the recent opening reception for the language of representation exhibition at Queens Hall, these two seemingly disparate disciplines prove they speak the same dialect.

By weaving together analog tradition and multimedia innovation, the exhibition serves as a collaborative reflection of what it means to live work and create in New York City today.

The conceptual foundation of the exhibition was born from an ambitious desire for cross disciplinary dialogue, inviting the audience to see themselves as part of this shared conversation.

Life as a student at Queens College can be difficu Life as a student at Queens College can be difficult for many as there is rigorous coursework, hard deadlines, exams and more. Now imagine practicing multiple times a week, early morning workouts and traveling long distances for games on top of all that.
This is the reality for student athletes, including QC's very own star pitcher Michael Vilardi.

Vilardi is a key contributor to the Knights, posting a .338 batting average and has received East Coast Conference honors on multiple occasions. The Massapequa native grew up rooting for current Cubs' third baseman Alex Bregman, despite being a Mets fan, and wears legendary Met David Wright's No. 5 on his jersey. The number has also held significance in his family, as his grandmother's favorite player was the Yankees' Joe DiMaggio, who also wore it.

On October 6, 2025, the CUNY Board of Trustees authorized CUCF to provide the capital funding for the renovation project. A budget of $13,321,636 was authorized. The renovated library will house new office space for several departments. One such department is the Psychology Department who, alongside the new offices, will also have newly added clinical spaces to enhance research and related activities.

Since the post-pandemic reopening of campus, Queen Since the post-pandemic reopening of campus, Queens College students have noticed a steady decline in restroom maintenance. The recent budget cuts and widespread understaffing suggests that service reductions are being made out of financial necessity rather than sustainability measures.

As reported by The Knight News on March 17th, CUNY colleges are facing financial pressures as “rising operational costs and declining enrollment have strained institutional budgets as campuses work to maintain academic programs and essential service.” It’s becoming clear that these financial constraints are not only affecting academic departments and classrooms, but restroom quality as well.

The removal of paper towels is one of the many concerns that students have shared regarding the restrooms on campus.

Outside of the Dining Hall and Student Union, there were long rows of people waiting to vote - lines longer than usual, stretching across campus. For many attendees, the presence of a large number of people from their home community created a welcoming sense of familiarity. Attendees expressed that QC has made them feel welcomed into the community, but the event elevated that sense of belonging.
