    OP-ED: Heroin’s line of addiction

    I grew up in a suburban part of northern Queens, NY. It’s a pretty picturesque place for the most part with a mixture of family homes, small businesses, local churches, and lots of greenery. But there’s a dark side to this place that a lot of people don’t discuss, or maybe don’t even know about. I have lost multiple childhood friends or acquaintances this year alone to the heroin epidemic which has been raging through my neighborhood and many others these past few years.
