    “Queens College Day” at Citi Field with New York Mets

    Queens College President, Félix Matos Rodríguez, volunteered and enjoyed the honor of being able to catch the ceremonial first pitch thrown by QC alumnus Michael Weisman to cap off Queens College Day at Citi Field held this past summer. The ceremony held prior to the Mets game against the Nationals on July 12th, 2018, was a day of celebration. The college was honored at Citi Field for its 80th year of existence. The 2017-2018 school year marked the 80-year anniversary of Queens College opening its doors for the first time.     This spring: Mr. Met deep fried cheesecake and ice cream sandwiches

    Citi Field hits a homerun this spring with deep fried ice cream sandwiches and deep fried, New York-style cheesecake.   Since its completion in 2009, Citi Field’s dining options have mirrored many modern ballparks offering anything from sushi to craft beer to gourmet barbeque. This season, the Mets have added some carnival classics to the menu.   Located in section 130 next to Keith’s Grill, you will find a concession stand selling deep fried, New York-style cheese cake and deep fried ice cream sandwiches.
