    QC Knights Men’s Basketball: Creating the right culture

    For the second straight season, the Queens College men’s basketball team had a chance to get into the playoffs on the last night of their regular season, but like last season, things didn’t go the Knights’ way. A 75-62 loss to the University of the District Colombia (UDC) Firebirds on March 2 ended a season where the team went 7-11 in conference play, the same as last season.     Patriots Survive Game of Attrition Against Rams, Capture Record Tying Sixth Super Bowl Title

    In the lowest-scoring Super Bowl ever, the Patriots proved that when it mattered the most, they made the big plays needed to win, hoisting their sixth Lombardi Trophy after beating the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Superbowl LIII. With the game tied at 3-3 in the middle of the fourth quarter, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady connected with tight end Rob Gronkowski on a 29-yard throw during a 69-yard drive to set up running back Sony Michel’s touchdown which gave the Pats a 10-3 lead.     With their game 7 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, the Los Angeles Dodgers (92-71) clinched their second consecutive World Series appearance— this time they’ll be taking on the league’s best team, the Boston Red Sox (108-54).     “Queens College Day” at Citi Field with New York Mets

    Queens College President, Félix Matos Rodríguez, volunteered and enjoyed the honor of being able to catch the ceremonial first pitch thrown by QC alumnus Michael Weisman to cap off Queens College Day at Citi Field held this past summer. The ceremony held prior to the Mets game against the Nationals on July 12th, 2018, was a day of celebration. The college was honored at Citi Field for its 80th year of existence. The 2017-2018 school year marked the 80-year anniversary of Queens College opening its doors for the first time. Of all the special events this past year, Queens College day at Citi Field seemed to be the most special.…
