#featuredfriday: This week, we’ll highlight the #featuredfriday: This week, we’ll highlight the amazing Marv Wolfman. He is a big deal in the world of comics and animation working for both Marvel and DC creating classic storylines  such as “ Crisis on Infinite Earths” storyline as well as a few Amazing Spider-Man issues. In 1971 he graduated from Queens College, with a bachelor of fine arts degree. Cheers to Marv, hope you enjoyed learning about his awesome career — and stay tuned next week for another Featured Friday!
After opening an investigation into a Muslim stude After opening an investigation into a Muslim student club, Queens College’s president, Frank Wu, has faced major backlash by the student body, being labeled as islamophobic.

The Queens College Students Justice for Palestine organization held a “Condemn Frank Wu’s Hypocrisy” protest yesterday that saw over 50 people attend. President Wu was at another event on campus at the time.

The Office of Compliance and Diversity are currently investigating several posts from the Muslim Student Association. President Wu revealed in an email that the college will cooperate with the NYPD in this investigation. “We feel targeted and ousted,” the MSA told The Knight News.

Born and raised in New York City, singer and songw Born and raised in New York City, singer and songwriter Carole King has led a life of musical grace. In her early days, she was once a Queens College student before briefly marrying lyricist Gerry Goffin. Years later in 1971, with over 25 million copies sold worldwide, her album "Tapestry" soared to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 5 consecutive weeks (the longest ever by a female solo artist at the time), and in 1973, she gave a free concert in Central Park attracting a crowd of over 100,000 people!

Fun fact: Carole King co-wrote the 1962 hit "The loco-motion".
